About the Artist

EXPRESSIONIST SURREALIST Artist Jesus Genotiva. a Filipino painter, Writer and Contemporary Film-maker. Born in Catarman Northern Samar, Philippines, December 25, 1978. completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising at Institute of Fine Arts and Design PWU- IFAD.                                                                                                                                                                                               A Multi-Awarded artist his numerous achievements and awards include the Grand Prize at the 1st Pony Show Off Digital Film and Poster Art 2011, Grand Prize at the 3rd Nokia Arts Awards- Asia Pacific 2001, and Honorable Mention Awards in the 13th and 15th Annual Asian Artist Fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center in the U.S 2006-2008, Finalist at the Metrobank National Painting Competition 2002,Honorable Mention in the 33rd Shell National Student Art Competition 2000.                                                                                                                                                                                 He has mounted one-man exhibitions at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the GSIS Museum of Arts, As well as one at the Silpakorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.  He is likewise the recipient of a grant from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts which enabled him to publish his book,                       " Laman-loob or Internal  Organ."
